At the start of the week we were divided into co-operative learning groups where we all had crucial roles to carry out; we had to complete 5 different budgeting activities. After the event is finished, we will leave Meggetland at Homelink Letter 15 — 22nd March We were adding and subtracting money amounts. What a wonderful celebration Buckstone Primary School put on this morning to celebrate 40 years and their new hall.
There was lots going on in each class primarg families to get involved with and our Food Champions also ran sneak peak tours of our brand new Cooking Classroom; the teachers are testing it out next week to make sure that buckstlne have all the equipment that we need and if all goes well, there will be some treats to sell at the Nativity!
Also this week, we have been learning about Exchanging Money and the Exchange Rate.

We have been learning how to use our research notes to write evacuee letters, putting ourselves in the shoes of an evacuee during WWII. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day and look forward to the next 40 years of Buckstone PS!
P2 — P7 Pupil Council met for the first time today and received their first assignment…watch this space. On Wednesday, our doors were open as part of the city-wide catchment schools Open Day which gives parents of children who will be going into P1 in August to come and see schoil school and ask any questions.

Other areas homwwork the curriculum In PE we have been focusing on our balance and control through gymnastics. This week in literacy we have been focusing on our comprehension skills which we have been developing by reading our class novel When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, and answering questions based on the text.
Maths Our focus in Maths is on money. We researched and designed Anderson Shelters too.
